Practical application of Ocean Accounting in Marine Spatial Planning
Would you like to explore how to use ocean accounting to support decision-making for marine spatial planning?
This single day workshop will introduce participants to ocean accounting and its practical application in decision support for Marine Spatial Planning. Participants will be involved in a practical role-play exercise in which they will make and defend spatial planning decisions on the basis of ocean accounting information across economic sectors, assessing social, community and environmental costs and benefits.
This application is strictly only open to South African participants. Note that this training will require some pre-reading and preparation.
