2016 | Course in Ocean Governance

2016 marked the third delivery of the Course in Ocean Governance for Africa, which was run in partnership with the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) and the South African International Maritime Institute (SAIMI), from the 12th September to the 7th October 2016. The course included 15 participants from nine countries including, for the first time, two self-funded participants from outside of Africa.

We are continually updating and restructuring the course and pursuing innovative pedagogic approaches where relevant. We introduced a new discussion forum at the end of each week, which is intended to morph into an online version to allow for integration with course alumni and the public.
